Homework for Monday, February 23rd

Please read the short story, "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas," by Ursula Le Guin on page 695 of the Current Issues textbook. You have a reading response due on Monday, which should focus on how the writer communicates her message(s) in this piece of short fiction. Consider using craft elements and outside associations to the content in order to support your interpretations, as we did in class last night for "The Wig," and "Girl." If we have time to go over "Television" in class on Monday, we will; but please be sure that your reading response is about the Le Guin story.
