- Does the writer use credible sources to back his/her claims? Provide specific examples from the paper.
- Does the writer use sound logic when arguing his/her position? Provide specific examples from the paper.
- Does the writer accurately break down his/her opponent's arguments? Provide specific examples from the text.
- What is the writer's concluding point(s)?
If you are not able to answer any of these questions because the writer has not incorporated them into his/her paper, identify a specific location in the text where the missing pieces would improve the essay.
